Of course you can go anywhere, but I like to send people to my very favorite bookstore, Green Apple Books in San Francisco. I've been in love with that place since I first arrived in the city in 1982. It's a big part of why I became a writer in the first place, and I still go there weekly to see what's on the shelves.
